Lucile Ellingwood Morrow Elementary Welcomes First Students

WELCOME to the first students to attend the new Owasso Lucile Ellingwood Morrow Elementary School!

First day of School - August 22, 2019!

An unusually moist August morning greeted the first students to enter the newest, and final, elementary school to open in Owasso, Oklahoma - the Lucile Ellingwood Morrow Elementary.  An overnight rain made for a nice walk to school from the surrounding Morrow Place neighborhood and children and parents alike were delighted!
Mrs. Morrow would have been amazed at what has happened to the Morrow land.  Homes bursting with happy families have replaced open fields populated by dairy cattle, hens, chickens, horses, hay-filled barns and white-faced Herfords.  Roads and highways cut through what was once open pasture land thick with fescue, Kentucky bluestem and native grasses.  Often the only car to drive by the Morrow home was the rural mailman delivering the much anticipated letter or announcement.
But, this morning, August 22, 2019, buses and many cars delivered up to 700 busy, chattering and excited children!  How exciting!
Come take a tour!

And, then the BEST part!  The hallways were filled with Morrow students!  Ready to learn!

So, Welcome!  Come and learn and become a fine, upstanding citizen!  Be a Morrow!
